Rotary District 6290 Mid Winter Youth Exchange Conference - February 22-25, 2018
Many thanks to everyone who contributed to this weekend - billet families, and many volunteers!
This conference is shared on a 3 year basis between Sault Ste Marie, Wawa and Blind River. It has 2 basic purposes: 1. To prepare the selected Canadian and US Students for their abroad – this is the first of 3 such conferences to make sure that the outbound students, who will leave in August, are as ready as can be for the experience. 2. Our Rotary Club belongs to District to Rotary District 6290 which has 5 clubs in Ontario  and 50 plus in the western part of Michigan. It was found that although we are an international District very few of the Inbound students (those from abroad) ever came to Canada.
